Non-Advancing League
Orange Ball (Beginner)
This division is truly a beginner competitors division and this typically the players first experience playing on a tennis team and competing in a timed format. This group is coach-led and hands-on with match management. Age is not a limitation for participation but most players will be 10-years-old or younger.
Orange Ball (Intermediate)
Players in this category have little to no challenges with match management but most likely have not jumped into USTA tournament play. These players actually might be older than is allowed at the 10 and under cut-off for tournament play. This group will play singles and doubles.
Orange Ball (Advanced / Tourney)
This division is for players that are actively playing USTA tournaments in the orange ball level or have comparable skill sets. As opposed to the other divisions, players must meet the age requirement for Orange Ball (Advanced / Tourney), which is under 11 years of age. This group has the ability to rally with their peers, use spin and understand both singles and doubles formats.
Advancing League
This league is our most competitive level of JTT. Teams from the Advancing League have the opportunity to qualify to the USTA Texas Sectionals at the end of the Fall and Spring Season. JTT Sectionals is held in different cities throughout Texas over a weekend.
CATA offers the following divisions for Advancing League:
12 & Under Green/Beginner Yellow/Intermediate Yellow
14 & Under Beginner/Intermediate
18 & Under Beginner/Intermediate
