Community Impact

Tennis is a sport that can be played by people of all ages and skill levels, and its health benefits are numerous. Not only does it provide excellent cardiovascular exercise, but it also helps maintain a healthy weight, reduces stress and anxiety, and improves cognitive function and decision-making abilities.

In addition to the 5,000+ league players and 4,000+ tournament players served, CATA is also committed to helping our entire community experience the benefits of tennis through the following programs:

The CATA Junior Awards Banquet started in 1997. In 2023, a record 620 players, parents, coaches and partners were in attendance to witness our category awards, MVP player awards, and $40,000 in scholarships distributed to 40 deserving young athletes. Learn more

The Old School Mixer event is held in April each year. 70’s fashioned teams gather for a good cause and for good times. Learn more

The 2nd Annual Women’s Leadership Luncheon hosted by CATA and USTA Texas at Austin Country Club on August 17, 2023. Women leaders in the tennis industry gathered to inspire, network, and make a difference! Learn more

For more than two decades, CATA has rewarded deserving young athletes through our scholarship program. In 2023, we awarded a record $40,000. Learn more
