Requirements

  • Must be 21-39 years of age
  • ALL skill levels are welcome, but recognize that this is a social-first league

Teams

  • Teams are co-ed and will have between 5-8 players. Each team will have at least one designated captain who will be in charge of determining the lineup for matches each week and passing along important information to their teammates.
  • Joining with friends? List them under teammate requests during registration.
  • No team? No problem. Join and we will place you on a team after the first drills night!

Format

  • Each team will play 3 one-hour long doubles matches per week
  • Team captains will be in charge of determining their team’s lineup each week, based on a combination of schedule and availability
  • On average, you should expect to play 1 hour-long match each week
  • Come early & stick around: enjoy the music and off-court activities, hit around on the extra court, and cheer on your teammates!

Cost

  • The $50 league fee covers:
    • Drills & games night led by local coaches
    • 5 weeks of team-based doubles match-play
    • T-shirt and various giveaways throughout the season
    • Happy hours following each night of play
    • An end-of-season party featuring free food, drinks, and prizes

2017 Fall Combo doubles team tournament where you can play with friends at different NTRP levels in a round robin format.

This USTA league is scheduled for September 29-October 1 as a weekend tournament.  Teams are comprised of all men or all women with a minimum of 6 players and a maximum of 12 (absolute max….no adding of players to your roster after the start of the tournament).

Teams compete at the following divisions of combined levels: 5.5, 6.5, 7.5, 8.5, 9.5 (2016 year-end rating must be used)Combo does not factor into your year-end rating.

Each line cannot exceed 1.0 level between partners.  Match format is three lines of doubles with regular scoring best 2 of 3 sets with Coman tiebreak in lieu of 3rd set.

The winning teams (winners of the round robin) will advance to Combo Sectionals.   Teams can come out of a two team league for advancement to sectionals (October 13-15, 2017 Dallas).

Players are required to play one match in order to advance to sectionals (no defaults count).  Players can only advance to Sectionals from ONE city only.  There is no National event for Combo.

Registration Opens: August 8, 2017 (Minimum Roster due 9/11/17)

Match times may start as early as 6:30pm on Friday, 9/29 due to number of teams.

Registration Confirmation: As a parent or player it is your responsibility to assure registration in the event. Regardless if you register on the website or mobile app after completing the registration you should visit the USTA web driven site and confirm your registration by finding the player in the applicants list. If you select to skip this process please be aware that should any malfunctions of the system occur, players will not be granted late entrance in the event due to a system error.

What you need to know about the Capital Area Social Tennis League:

Requirements

  • Must be 21-39 years of age
  • ALL skill levels are welcome, but recognize that this is a social-first league

Teams

  • Teams are co-ed and will have between 5-8 players. Each team will have at least one designated captain who will be in charge of determining the lineup for matches each week and passing along important information to their teammates.
  • Joining with friends? List them under teammate requests during registration.
  • No team? No problem. Join and we will place you on a team after the first drills night!

Format

  • Each team will play 3 one-hour long doubles matches per week
  • Team captains will be in charge of determining their team’s lineup each week, based on a combination of schedule and availability
  • On average, you should expect to play 1 hour-long match each week
  • Come early & stick around: enjoy the music and off-court activities, hit around on the extra court, and cheer on your teammates!

Cost

  • The $50 league fee covers:
    • Drills & games night led by local coaches
    • 5 weeks of team-based doubles match-play
    • T-shirt and various giveaways throughout the season
    • Happy hours following each night of play
    • An end-of-season party featuring free food, drinks, and prizes
