| CATA Scholarships For Graduating Seniors Each year the Capital Area Tennis Association, a non-profit tennis organization, distributes between $5,000 and $7,000 in college scholarships to local graduating high school seniors. Although a level of tennis is desirable, the Scholarship Committee and Board of Directors evaluate each application on the basis of financial need in conjunction with the student's scholastic achievements and involvement in community services. Funds are sent directly to the college with the stipulation it be divided between the first year's semesters and used for books or tuition. Scholarship funds are acquired from various CATA offered programs. | |
