Congrats to the Round Rock Rumblers, 2009 USTA Texas 3.5 Men's Team Champions

Congratulations, to the 3.5 men’s team, the Round Rock Rumblers, captained by Lawrence Rountree, for winning Texas Adult Sectionals this past weekend in Dallas, TX!  This team was undefeated as a team this Spring season and at sectionals as well!  They will be headed to Tuscon, Arizona October 16-18, 2009 for NATIONALS!  Team members are alphabetically Corey Blise, Steve Cotton, Jerry Cooper, Milton Fauss, Mayuresh Gogate, Dee Gumabao, Dennis Haverlah, Naveen Iyengar, Tacito Loschiavo, David McMillan, Mohit Anand Nilekani, Lawrence Rountree, John Clinton Scarborough, Aslesh Thukaram, Fred Thomas Treadwell, Elan Vasudevan, Kodungallur Varma, John Victorian, and Bryan Watson.

Levels: Combined NTRP levels: 5.5, 6.5, 7.5, 8.5, 9.5   (2008 year-end ratings; if no rating, self-rate)
Round Robin Play at Courtyard Tennis Club and Lost Creek Country Club; one match required for advancement 
Sectionals: October 16-18, 2009 in Dallas, TX  

USTA Adult Senior Mixed League (6.0, 7.0 and 8.0 combined ratings)
Reg Opens: August 4, 2009
Min Roster Deadline: September 8, 2009
League Begins: October 4, 2009 (7.0 plays Sundays at 1pm, 8.0 plays at 4pm)
Format: 3 lines of doubles  Cost: $25 + $3 tennislink fee
Age: 50 and over – must turn 50 by December 31, 2009
The NTRP difference between partners may not exceed 1.0.  
 
USTA Tri-Level Team Tournament (3.0-4.0 or 3.5-4.5)
Reg Opens: September 29, 2009
Min Roster Deadline: October 23, 2009 (6 min., 12 max.)
Dates: November 20-22, 2009
Format: 3 lines of doubles with each line a different NTRP level   Cost: $28 + $3 tennislink fee 
Levels: 3.0-4.0 or 3.4-4.5   (mid-year rating)
Round Robin Play at Courtyard Tennis Club; more sites TBD; one match required for advancement 
Sectionals: February 2010 tentative
Nationals: 3.5-4.5 only; tentative March 2010
